Pedestal 1.6 for iOS

Pedestal 1.6 for iOS is our most stable and feature-rich release to date. Starting with the Home tab, we’ve added a store button in the top-left corner, allowing users to access the Pedestal website directly through our in-app browser.

Artists can now upload video covers to their projects for a more immersive experience. This ties perfectly into the stem player, which now supports video artwork as well. We’ve also introduced a new info section, where artists can add global notes like credits and background details.

Pedestal now integrates seamlessly with Apple CarPlay—album artwork and controls appear on your car’s built-in player while you drive. The same convenience extends to the Apple Watch, keeping your music accessible wherever you are.

We’ve also made important stability improvements to the social module and decided to remove one of its features. In a move that reflects our values, we’ve eliminated like counters from the social feed. Users can still like and comment on posts, but the numbers are no longer public.

Social media can be exhausting. We’re living in a time where the first question after a release is, “How many streams did it get?” instead of, “How’s the project?” That’s not the conversation we want to have.

At Pedestal, our mission is to expand the canvas for artists, create meaningful experiences for fans, and build real community. We’re focused on projects that are worth your time and your money.

Below you will find a feature overview video on the plaform and what it has to offer artists.
